The Federation of Engineering Institution of South & Central Asia (FEISCA) is an international organization established with the following objectives:
- To foster co-operation and exchange of information among its National Members, by establishment of Data Bank or otherwise on select aspects of interest such as engineering expertise, engineering facilities and education systems:
- To encourage effective engineering manpower development and utilization in the region and facilitate travel of engineers and engineering students between different countries in the region for the purpose;
- To encourage the formation and to foster the goal-oriented activities of national Associations of Engineers in the region;
- To study problems concerning the education, training and continuing education of engineers in the region and recommend solution:
- To motivate engineers to work towards the social and economic development of the countries in the region;
- To promote in co-operation with national governments, regional and international agencies, regional co-operation in utilizing science and technology for development in areas as:
- Improving indigenous engineering capability of the region
- Study utilization of energy resources of optimum benefits in the region;
- Working for balanced industrial growth and mutually advantageous transfer of know-how and technology and similar activities;
- To advise U.N. bodies such as UNESCO, UNIDO, UNDP, etc.;
- To advise regional bodies such as SAARC on the priority activities applicable to the region;
- To represent the region in WFEO and other world body for fruitful collaborative activities
- To do any other activities to fulfill these objectives.
